Radisson Blu Dhaka officially unveils Turkey-themed 'Sultan's Sofra' Iftar-cum-Dinner Buffet for Ramadan
Dhaka: Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, in partnership with Trust Bank and Turkish Airlines, has officially unveiled the country's first Turkey-themed Iftar-cum-Dinner Buffet, "Sultan’s Sofra," ahead of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, through a press meet, followed by a food tasting event on Monday, February 16.
The press meet formally began with an introductory speech from Brigadier General (Retd.) ANM Manzoorul Haque Mazumder, Chief Executive Officer of the five-star hotel's operator, SENA Hotel Developments Ltd (SHDL).
Following the opening address, representatives from partner institutions, İslam Güre, Country Manager in Bangladesh of Turkish Airlines, and Akhlasur Rahman Bhuiyan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer of Trust Bank, shared their remarks on "Sultan's Sofra."
Duco Everen de Vries, Cluster General Manager of Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, along with guest chef Onhan Hasan Gaziantep and Celik Ahmet Melikgazi, who traveled all the way from Turkey, then delivered an elaborate overview of the Turkey-themed arrangement.
Concluding the press meet, the event progressed into the food tasting session, offering invited guests to indulge in the authentic Turkish taste and experience with "Sultan’s Sofra" alongside a wide selection of traditional foods and classic Iftar items.
Signature dishes included shawarma, tantuni, kebab, and kofta, prepared by Chef Melikgazi, an expert in savory classics, while Chef Gaziantep, renowned for his mastery of traditional Turkish desserts, presented authentic baklava and kunefe.

Some of the exclusive offerings from the hotel include a B1G3 offer on selected bank cards, a "Dine and Win" campaign featuring a Dhaka-Turkey-Dhaka flight ticket from Turkish Airlines, a dedicated Turkish stall showcasing authentic Turkish décor, accessories, and lifestyle items, thoughtfully curated takeaway Iftar boxes, and a lobby Iftar bazaar for individual Iftar items.
